New Slippers

When Ruby finally gets to sleep, Greg and I often find ourselves lounging together in our new Christmas slippers. We have no idea what was on the TV when this snap was shot - clearly Meg's choice.

Well Slept

10 hours of sleep in a night will make anyone feel this vibrant.

Ruby and Samuel

Too windy, cold and snowy to be outside, we had friends Deb and Samuel over for a play date. Ruby was mesmerized by her new friend.

Pre-Game Cheer

Clearly this happy shot was taken before the Green Bay Packers lost their only shot at participating in this year's Superbowl. Wah Wah!

Brooke to Seattle

Brooke finally got to town to meet her new niece.

We had several adventures and insisted Brooke carry Ruby particularly if stairs or steep climbing were involved.

New Pals from PEPS Group

Ruby and I meet with our PEPS Program for Early Parental Support group for the next 12 weeks (even longer if the group gels - some meet regularly for years.) The group consists of 12 new moms that live in neighborhoods within a few miles of each other and have babies born within a two month span.

You can spy Ruby in her pink salmon shirt and to her right is Alina, her pal with the same November 5th birthday - sister Scorpios!

Two Month Check-Up

Ruby saw her Pediatrician for her latest stats.

Height: 23 inches (75%)

Weight: 11 lbs. 5 ozs. (50%)

Head: 39 cm (75%)

She got three immunization shots in her chubby little legs - ouch.

Face Up, Face Down

So happy sleeping soundly, swaddled on her back.

Ruby believes if she lies very still, we can't even see her.

This tactic is used to get out of tummy time - Ruby HATES tummy time.

Flower Power

Ruby's newborn onsies are officially "tight" and being put away for the new year.

Nothing worse than making our 11 pound butter bean look thick in the middle.

Hello 2012

When mittens are worn inside, it means mom cut Ruby's fingernails too close.

Dad is in charge of all future nail-related activity.

Ruby stayed up until 3:30am on the first of the year.

She parties harder than either of her parents. Oh how we'll miss 2011.
