Oysters Happy Hour

Who in their right mind eats oysters when it is over 100 degree F outside? Perhaps those who also think that photos of people eating oysters are attractive?

Holy hanging planters...the killer flowers in the Pike Market are simply amazing.

Cousin Brian's Wedding

Who doesn't love a good family wedding?

On such a warm summer day, Meg gracefully bee-lines past the bride & groom for a glass of wine.

Cheers to your nuptials.

Tamarind Margaritas

We truly believe a large part of the reason Joan decided to move to Seattle was for the heavenly, tamarind margaritas near Greenlake. Law school was just a fluke...it's possible.

Back Deck Pizzeria

A warm summer night brought out the Italian in each of us. Thrilled to know pizza throwing could be a solid fall back should employment opportunities dwindle.

Although pizza guests found it somewhat disturbing, Meg & Greg could not resist a photo opportunity with a hot, heart shaped pizza (we swear it started out round and was completely unplanned...)

Independence Day 09

A beautiful afternoon on Lake Union was marred
only by some joker wearing what appeared to be red
women's sunglasses.
Nice.

God bless America. Cheap Mexican beer served
in a fish-themed coozie. Super-SPICY!
A spectacular sunset set the mood.
Ooooohs and Ahhhhs were abundant on a fun night
with friends.

Cruising the Oregon Coast

Wandering along the boardwalk in Astoria along the Columbia River. This long-ass bridge gets you from Washinton into Oregon...
Longbeach, WA is a sketchy little town. The curiosity shop housing Jake the Alligator Boy and countless pristinely stuffed animals, was equally as creepy.

Cannon Beach Kite Flying

Meg was a kite flying genius...

Greg, however, was more like a wizard.

Tillamook Cheese Factory

Couldn't be within 60 miles of Tillamook, Oregon without sampling the local ice cream, cheese and smokehouse delicacies - a reminder of both having moved west from Wisconsin.
Behold the power of cheese, but please try not to get too frisky with the livestock, Meg. The calf appears to have an etherial glow, which is always nice.

Beach Ball at Del Rey

The hike through tall grasses approaching Del Ray led us to believe the beach would be serene. Didn't realize driving 4WD vehicles straight out onto the beach was all the rage.
